Terms of Service
Rules for using EchoGuard on your Discord server.
1. Acceptance
By adding EchoGuard to a server or using its commands you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, remove the bot and stop using it.
2. The service
EchoGuard is a free Discord bot that plays music and internet radio in voice channels, with queue tools, optional personal statistics (/stats, /wrapped), a DJ role and vote skip. Audio is resolved and streamed in real time through a third-party audio node and third-party platforms; EchoGuard does not host or own audio.
3. Eligibility and server administrators
- You must meet Discord’s minimum age and comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
- Administrators who add the bot are responsible for how it is used on their server, including the DJ role they configure.
4. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use the bot to infringe copyright or other rights, or to broadcast illegal, hateful or harassing content;
- overload, probe, exploit or bypass the limits of the bot or of the infrastructure it relies on (rate limits, queue limits, cooldowns);
- automate commands beyond normal use or run the bot for commercial or monetised streams without our written consent;
- try to obtain other people’s data.
5. Third-party content and platforms
Content played through EchoGuard belongs to its rights holders. You are responsible for what you request and for having the right to play it where you do. Platforms such as YouTube or Spotify have their own terms, which may restrict this kind of use, and may change or block access at any time.
Rights holders can report content to My Discord: yakuzaa.x (Please state the reason for your request when adding me as a friend.) (see the Legal notice). We will act promptly on valid notices.
6. Third-party infrastructure and availability
Audio is provided by an external public audio node that we do not control. The service is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of availability, audio quality or access to any source; features can be limited, interrupted or removed, for instance because of that node, a platform change or maintenance.
7. Personal data
Data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy. You can stop collection with /privacy on, download your data with /export and delete it with /resetstats.
8. Moderation
We may rate-limit, block or remove any user or server that breaks these Terms or endangers the service, without prior notice when abuse is serious.
9. Intellectual property
The EchoGuard name, logo, design and code belong to their authors. Discord, YouTube, Spotify and other names are trademarks of their owners; EchoGuard is not affiliated with them.
10. Liability
The service is free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, or disruption of Discord activities. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that the law does not allow to be limited (including consumer-protection rights and liability for intentional or gross misconduct).
11. Changes
We may update these Terms; the date above shows the latest version. For material changes we announce them on the support server at least 14 days ahead where possible. Continuing to use the bot after that means acceptance.
12. Termination
You can stop at any time by removing the bot. We may discontinue or modify the public bot at any time.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law, without affecting mandatory protections of your country of residence. Disputes should first be raised with us so we can try to solve them amicably; otherwise the competent courts apply.
14. Contact
